People overlook Spring in Colorado. The weather is warming up, the sun is coming out, and there’s tons to do! Take it directly from your Vita Locators Family.
Get Outside!
While there may be snow on the ground some days, don’t let that stop you from getting outdoors and being active or just exploring! While you can still take advantage of ski/snowboard season, there are many more activities to do as well.
A local favorite activity is checking out some hot springs. Strawberry Park Hot Springs in Steamboat are extremely popular, as is The Springs Resort down south in Pagosa Springs. Want a spot closer to Denver? Check out Indian Springs Resort in Idaho Springs. Want more options? Peek at the 29 Colorado Hot Springs!
Go on a crisp walk to see the dinosaur tracks in Morrison at Dinosaur Ridge! You can see tracks, bones, fossils, and read all about the exhibitions as you stroll the Dinosaur Highway.
We all know springtime is all about blooming flowers. Head to Boulder to see the bright tulips pop up on Pearl Street Mall. Take a short drive to Chatauqua Park to see more wildflowers and do a quick hike.
Advantages of Spring in Colorado
The Summer and Winter seasons get a lot of hype in Colorado, so coming in the Spring can be a wonderful experience with less crowds! You won’t experience long waits at restaurants, bars, bike rentals, etc.
Springtime is a much more affordable season to visit Colorado, as you’re in the off season and can take advantage of booking specials and lower prices. You’ll even get to shop discounted prices as ski and board stores will be looking to mark down their seasonal merchandise.
If less crowding and savings aren’t enough to convince you – the weather in Spring in Colorado is just about perfect. It’s cool enough if you want to ski, but also warm enough if you want to hike or bike!
